Treatment of gastrointestinal tumors depends on several factors, including the type, stage, and location of the tumor, as well as the patient's health condition. However, in general, treatment options include:
1

Surgical Intervention

Surgical intervention is performed on cancerous tumors that have not spread beyond the tumor site. The original, as surgery may be performed to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. Nearby lymph nodes may also be removed to detect the presence of a cancerous tumor. 3

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy involves the use of chemotherapy drugs to kill cancer cells or slow their growth. It is taken orally or intravenously and may be used alone or in various combinations. It can be administered before surgery to reduce the size of the tumor or after surgery to eliminate any remaining cancer cells.

Immunotherapy
